How are they worse than other video games?
because at least video games with stories are like, somewhat unique and require a small amount of interest in things beyond the absolute most superficial mind-numbing entertainment possible. Every normie on earth plays sports games.
Fuck you guys, Madden 2K15 was amazing. You had it all: Tom Landry coming back from the dead to resurrect fallen Football players for his “Doomsday Defense Squad,” Tony Romo’s Omnipass Limit Break, John Ross’s wavedash sprint, and Emmitt Smith’s 2-frame window tackle parry.
What was really phenomenal was the DLC that opened up the Lionel Messi Side Story, on how he sacrifices his soccer prowess to become the leading Quarterback in his own right. Although his header moves are only situationally helpful, nobody is better at kicking field goals, and he’s surprisingly viable for the meta.
